Canterbury programsQuestions teachers ask first
Perfect, that is who our programs are built for. Sessions start on the sand, progress at each student's pace, and most first-timers stand up on day one. Non-swimmers are catered for with tightened ratios and standing-depth water.
Per-student pricing for every format is published on our pricing page: half days from $22, full days from $25, with what's provided spelled out. No mystery pricing.
Togs, a towel, lunch and warm clothes for afterwards. We provide everything else: wetsuits in all sizes, soft learner boards, sun protection rash shirts and qualified instructors, right down to the sunscreen.
Not at all. Based on your numbers we build a two or three station rotation plan: surfing plus beach games, surf rescue, team building challenges and sports games. We put together the best activities and schedule to suit your student numbers and age group.
Rain alone does not cancel a surf day. If surf or wind conditions are unsafe, we make a documented call the afternoon before: we move to a sheltered backup beach, switch to the beach-based program, or reschedule free.
Yes. Full-day programs run up to 100 students and overnight camps up to 140, with groups rotating through stations so in-water ratios never stretch. More students just means more days or more camps!
Terms 1 and 4 are peak surf season and book out first. Term 2 often has the best availability, surprisingly good waves, and the water is still warm. We are booking several years in advance and always pencil in our existing schools so you do not miss out. Book in early!
